Grimsby Town’s Adam Proudlock missed a late penalty as Aldershot came from behind to claim a point at the Recreation Ground on Saturday.
The visitors took the lead after just 6 minutes as John Grant sliced into his own net from Michael Coulson’s cross.
It took until the 68th minute for the Shots to get back on level terms as substitute Danny Hylton fired home from 12 yards.
With 4 minutes of normal time remaining the referee awarded Grimsby a penalty after Andy Sandell’s hand ball. Adam Proudlock took responsibility but he blazed his effort over the bar.
