Wycombe Wanderers have had another bid rejected for Aldershot midfielder Scott Donnelly and it is thought that the League One strugglers wont be making another.

It was reported last week that Wycombe had a £15k offer rejected, which manager Kevin Dillon described as ‘derisory’ and have since come back with an improved offer which was once again turned down.

Donnelly’s contract is up at the end of the season and was quoted in the press saying that he would like to play for Gary Waddock again.

The rumour mill went into overdrive on Tuesday when Donnelly was dropped to the bench and didn’t come on away at Accrington Stanley. Dillon said that Donnelly wasn’t picked due to the state of the Stanley pitch, but it’s also thought that it could have been due to the comments he made in the press during the week.

Whatever the reason it looks like Scott Donnelly will remain an Aldershot Town player for the rest of the season and it’s believed that the Shots have offered him a new contract.
