One Million Debt Caused Administration

Just mindblowing at a club the size of Aldershot. £300,000 owed to football creditors and £700,000 to others.

Carl Jackson, our new administrator, told the BBC.

‘The overriding objective is to secure the long term survival of the club and to satisfy creditors. Administration buys time to discuss the club’s restructuring. We will meet with the players and staff shortly.’

I think plenty of fans thought financially it might be bad, but must admit I wasn’t considering seven figures. Naivety on my part perhaps.
