Ross Worner has admitted he had a lump in his throat when starting the last match because he didn’t think it would happen this season.

Speaking to the Official Site the goalkeeper said.

‘It’s been a long haul. To be able to come back and get a game before the end of the season produced a lump in my throat because I didn’t think it would happen. I only knew an hour before kick off that I would be playing.’

Worner adds he tried to come back for pre season but he knew within days that wouldn’t be possible and that he’d need surgery.
