Aldershot Town v Hereford United- Dedicated to the memory of John McGinty.

The family of John McGinty will be in attendance at the Football League Two fixture between Aldershot Town and Hereford United this coming Saturday (5th September 2009). John’s two Grandsons will be Mascots for the day. A minute’s silence will be held prior to kick-off.

John McGinty Memorial Service After Hereford United Match

Aldershot Town Football Club supporters are invited to attend an open Memorial Service for John McGinty to be held at the football club after the Hereford United match on the afternoon of Saturday 5th September 2009. The service will commence at 5.45pm and will be conducted by Club Chaplain Rev. Mike Pusey with tributes, hymns and some of John’s favourite songs being played during the course of the service.

The EBB Lounge, Wally’s Bar and Players Lounge will be open immediately after the end of the match for supporters but will close at 5.30 to ensure that all supporters are back in the stands prior to the start of the service at 5.45pm. The football club request that all supporters use the Indigo Press Stand, East Bank and, if short of space, then standing on the High Street end as all presentations from the pitch will be facing the Indigo Stand. There is no reserved seating and all seats are on a first come, first served basis. The bars will re-open at the end of the service.
