Andy Scott has said that Aldershot were the better team over 90 minutes in the game against Port Vale, and a single error cost us maximum points.

Speaking to the Official Site following the one all draw, the manager said.

‘We were the better side over 90 minutes and made one error that cost us in injury time. The mental strength to respond was evident though because they could have crumbled at half time. That strength can see us through. We played well, and got into some good areas. It’s about belief, there are good players in there and people going home will be asking how we are bottom of the league.’

Scott says the game plan worked perfectly on the night, and in the last 9 games we have lost twice, and even then he doesn’t think we should’ve really looking back, so the improvement in the squad is there for all to see, we just now need to pick up more three points and make it count.

Scott also described the fans as being ‘different class’ and he thanks them for their support saying it is lifting the team.
