Andy Scott has said what everybody knew, the Dagenham game was a must win and we managed to.

Speaking to the BBC following the game, Scott said.

‘We had to win, but in truth it’s been a tough task and we’ve given ourselves too much to do over the period I’ve been in charge. We haven’t been good enough. It was a cagey game and we got the goal, it was a typical end of season scrappy game and all the results conspired against us.’

Results might not have been as favourable as we’d have liked, but we ultimately put ourselves in this position and we can’t expect anybody else to do us any favours.

All we can do now is get the maximum three points on offer and cross our fingers.

Scott says come the end of the season everybody involved in the running of the club, especially including the players, have to take responsibility for what has happened this term, learn from it, and then make changes so we can see an improvement.
