Speaking to BBC Surrey, Shots striker John Grant has spoken of his frustration this season.

The Mancunian striker came off the bench to score his first goal of the season at Burton on Saturday and has only started one match so far this season.

He said ‘When Marvin Morgan was injured, I thought I’d start, but managers make decisions and some decisions I don’t agree with, some I do, but I felt I could have started against Burton and done well.’

Grant was a prolific scorer for the Shots in the Conference, but has failed to impress in the Football League and has already announced that this will be his last season at the Recreation Ground before moving back up north.

After impressing on Saturday and scoring twice for the reserves this afternoon, he may well start against Bradford City on Saturday.
