Aldershot were thrashed 5-1 at Chesterfield on Wednesday.

Jack Lester (24) gave Chesterfield the lead midway through the first half and towards the end of it Jamie Ward (41) added another with a penalty, the first of a would be hat-trick. Five minutes into the second half Kirk Hudson (50) got Aldershot back into the match, but Ward (53) restored the two-goal lead minutes later. Derek Niven (73) added another with a little over quarter of an hour to go and three minutes later Ward (76) completed the rout, as well as his hat-trick.

A crushing blow for Aldershot! Is this a minor blip, or do you think it might be the start of a few worrying times ahead?
