Gillingham weren’t able to get a victory at struggling Aldershot, however the point secured was enough to see them extend their lead at the top of the League Two table.

A couple of early first half efforts came and went for Gillingham with Aldershot also going close in the first half, which ended goal less.

Within minutes of the restart Aldershot broke the deadlock with Craig Reid (47) smashing home his 11th of the season.

Gillingham didn’t look like drawing level but with 15-minutes to play they managed to do this when Leon Legge (75) headed home, and immediately after Danny Kedwell really should have headed the visitors ahead.

A 1-1 draw extended The Gills lead by a point with promotion rivals Port Vale slipping up.
