Aldershot left it late but secured all 3pts against Southend with a 1-0 home win on Saturday.

M Morgan (81) secured the points for the home side with time running out and Kevin Dillon, as he told BBC Surrey, believed that Aldershot were good money for their win.

Dillon also singled out one man for particular praise: ‘Spencer was involved in everything when he came on and the substitutions certainly affected the game.

‘Teams will come and sit this season and try and hit us on the break and it’s up to us to try and move the ball a little bit quicker.

‘We just couldn’t create many chances, but once we scored we had three or four. It was exciting it at the end, I enjoyed it, and it was a relief to get the win. I thought we defended superbly.’

Do you agree with Kevin Dillon’s thoughts here, and do you think Aldershot deserved the win?
